How to add coupon download in the campaign?

Coupon download is a function which allows you to give your user a coupon code for something (e.g. 10% discount) after they have finished playing the mini-game.

Note: Studio only tracks the coupon given to users, it doesn’t track if the coupon has been used or not.

You can add coupon download feature for your campaign by following the steps below:

1. Go to Studio website https://studio.brandedminigames.com/ and log in with your account.

Note: if you don’t have an account yet, please check this article.

2. On the top menu bar, select the “Dashboard” button to go to the campaign dashboard.

3. Find the campaign which you want to add the coupon download and select it.

4. Select the “Page Settings” > “Result & Call to Action” on the left menu.

5. Toggle “Call To Action – Coupon Download” to “ON”.

6. Select the type of coupon download that you want to use.

Note: there are 4 type of coupon download as below:

1. One static number

The coupon will be a static string of text for all users.

To use this coupon download option, please follow:

  1. Select “One static number” option.
  2. Input the coupon text (can include characters, numbers, special characters).
  3. When you finish inputting the coupon, click anywhere outside the input box to get the coupon saved.

When a user finishes playing the game and sees the Result page, he can tap the “Claim Free Gift” button to get the coupon.

Note: all users will get the same coupon code.

2. Generate a random number

The coupon will be generated randomly for each user following the rules that you have selected (a fixed string of text + random numbers).

To use this coupon download option, please follow:

  1. Select “Generate a random number” option.
  2. In the “Pre text” input box, input your fixed string of text for the coupon.
  3. Then select the length of random numbers for the coupon.
  4. When you finish inputting the “Pre text”, click anywhere outside the input box to get the coupon saved.

Note: you will also see a sample coupon of what you have input:

When a user finishes playing the game and sees the Result page, he can tap the “Claim Free Gift” button to get the coupon.

Note: each user will get a different coupon code because of the random numbers.

3. Coupon Image

The coupon will be a static image for all users.

To use this coupon download option, please follow:

  1. Select “Coupon Image” option.
  2. Select the “Select File” button then browse and upload your coupon image (Note: coupon image size is 360×147).
  3. Once finished uploading, a thumbnail of the coupon image will be shown.

When a user finishes playing the game and sees the Result page, he can tap the “Claim Free Gift” button to get the coupon.

Note: all users will get the same coupon image.

4. Use Pre-generated coupon

The coupon will be taken from a list of coupons that you upload in sequence for each user.

To use this coupon download option, please follow:

  1. Select “Use Pre-generated Coupon” option.
  2. Select the “Select File” button then browse and upload your coupon file.

Note: 

  • Only CSV / XLS / XLSX format supported.
  • File must have 1 column and no header. You can download a sample file here.
  • Technically, there is no number of coupon limitations in the file.

When a user finishes playing the game and sees the Result page, he can tap the “Claim Free Gift” button to get the coupon.

Note:

  • Each user will get one coupon in the coupon list.
  • When all coupons are given, the user will get “No Coupon Left” text when trying to claim the coupon.

7. If the campaign has been published, after updating, please do select the “Save Changes” button on the top right to apply your changes to the campaign.
